Superior Town Council will consider a proposed 2027 agreement with Boulder County on Sept. 28 to provide one full-time behavioral-health co-responder, at a listed cost of $141,616.21. The town’s staff memo recommends approval.
The proposed statement of work lists $138,580.21 for salary and benefits and $3,036 for expenses. The responder would work alongside law enforcement deputies on calls involving mental health, substance use or other crises, helping de-escalate situations, connect people with services and provide follow-up when appropriate.
The staff memo says the amount was available; a separate Council vote on the 2027 budget is scheduled for Oct. 12, according to the budget meeting packet.
