Superior Town Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing Oct. 12 on a proposed $41,321,246 budget for 2027. The [agenda schedules the hearing and consideration](https://superiorco.api.civicclerk.com/v1/Meetings/GetMeetingFile(fileId=4712,plainText=false), and the [staff report recommends approval](https://superiorco.api.civicclerk.com/v1/Meetings/GetReportFile(fileId=4438).
Proposed appropriations in [Resolution R-82](https://superiorco.api.civicclerk.com/v1/Meetings/GetAttachmentFile(fileId=4817) span 10 Town funds: $23,098,644 for the General Fund; $5,873,800 for Capital Improvement; $4,941,453 for 2025 Capital Improvement; $2,869,462 for Landscape Fee; $1,318,962 for Open Space; $1,197,425 for 2025 Capital Improvement Debt; $822,000 for Marshall Fire Recovery; $530,500 for Open Space Debt Service; $519,000 for Waste Collection; and $150,000 for Conservation Trust.
The [budget presentation](https://superiorco.api.civicclerk.com/v1/Meetings/GetAttachmentFile(fileId=4818) describes more than $12 million in governmental capital and interchange projects, including North and South pool renovations, Pirate Park improvements, pedestrian and bicycle work, and tennis-court improvements. It also proposes full-time positions for a sheriff’s traffic deputy and an open-space ranger, and part-time information technology and arts and history coordinators. A separate $5 million for utility-system capital maintenance is not included in the Town’s $41.3 million budget.
The presentation’s $65,598,822 total combines four budgets: $41,321,246 for the Town, $2,608,632 for the Superior/McCaslin Interchange, $7,566,000 for Superior Urban Renewal, and $14,102,944 for Superior Metropolitan District No. 1. The preliminary worksheet’s $23,098,644 figure is for General Operating expenditures, not all Town funds, [the worksheet shows](https://superiorco.api.civicclerk.com/v1/Meetings/GetAttachmentFile(fileId=4800).
The council is also scheduled to consider a separate governmental fee-schedule resolution. If approved, it would take effect upon adoption, with the schedule beginning Jan. 1, 2027; the [proposed resolution](https://superiorco.api.civicclerk.com/v1/Meetings/GetAttachmentFile(fileId=4814) does not list itemized rates.
